Experience with the wild cats !!!!

It was a beautiful spring morning in Kaziranga park. I, along with a group of four, headed inside the forest very early in the morning..say around 0530 hrs. This is the perfect time to spot the tigers who normally stays very deep inside the Jungle but comes out to drink water.

We were guided by a forest ranger from the Park itself...He was a jem of a naturalist. As we entered the high thorny grasslands, he asked us to keep silence as he was feeling the presence of a Tiger couple. Even we could get the smell...these gracious cats have a very distinctive odor.

As we neared them, they saw us and was least interested to give us any importance. They were lying on the grass as if they had a hearty meal and resting....It was 0600 hrs and their stomachs were full. My eyed were fixed on the tigers, in fact i failed to remember that i had waited for this moment all through my life...and when i got a chance..i could not click a picture. Sob.. !!!

We were so excited to see the tiger that the other animals looked insignificant. The ranger took us to many locations but the sun already rose and the tigers were back inside the deep forests. Our one of the main motive was to spot the tigers in the park which was indeed very rare in parks as in the Kaziranga. Tiger spotting is easier in Bandavgarh or Rantahmbore but had a hope to spot it in Kaziranga and we managed to do it.
